STEFANO BOERI
“Architect and urban planner, Stefano Boeri is Full Professor at Politecnico in Milan and visiting Professor at several international universities. In Shanghai, he is Director of the Future City Lab at Tongji University in Shanghai: a post-doctoral research program which explores the future of contemporary metropolis under the perspectives of biodiversity and urban forestry.
In November 2018, he has been Co-Chair of the Scientific Committee for the first World Forum on Urban Forests, organized in Mantua together with FAO.
Stefano Boeri Architetti’s work ranges from the production of urban visions and architectures to interior and product design.
The focus on the relationship between city and nature led to the creation of Vertical Forest, the first prototype of residential sustainable building hosting more than 700 trees and 20,000 plants.
The studio – based in Milan and with offices in Shanghai and Tirana – is working on international projects of urban forestry among which theVertical Forests in Paris, Lausanne, Utrecht, Eindhoven and Nanjing and several models of Forest Cities all over the world.”
