Paolo and Jonathan Nava
Paolo Nava was born in Seregno in 1943, graduated at the Faculty of Architecture at Politecnico di Milano, he attended the Upper Course of Industrial Design in Florence, qualifying in 1966. He completed his Lifelong learning in England, working for industrial design studios.
In 1972 he founded the Citterio - Nava studio with A. Citterio.
From 1982 Paolo Nava proceed with his work as designer independently.
A fundamental aspect of his work is three-dimensional verification on laboratory models putting to the test various materials in his own studio-lab obtained from an early XX century villa of Lombardy countryside .
Teacher in different important Italian universities, in the course of his career he won numerous international design awards, for this reason he is frequently invited as a lecturer in various countries.
In his projects Paolo Nava is focused on the dialogue between his own fantasy and the concrete industrial and production requirements, using new inspirations, technologies and materials across different conceptual approach towards the living space, in order to get to a profound transformation of use.
In 2007 Paolo Nava started training his elder son Jonathan and now they are working together. Graduated in set design at the Accademia di Brera in Milan, Jonathan underwrite his father's job with the emotional concepts pertain to scenography.
