PIERLUIGI CERRI

“Pierluigi Cerri graduated at Politecnico of Milan where he taught together with Umberto Eco. In the 1974 he founded as partner Gregotti Associati, with which he had won many architecture’s competitions. In 1976 he had directed the image of Venezia’s Biennale; he was responsible of the “Kunst-und Ausstellungshalle’s” image of Bonn and the Palazzo Grassi in Venice.

He was editor of Casabella and Rassegna’s magazines, he had collaborated with the following magazines: Lotus international, Abitare, Domus, L’Espresso; he had directed the collection of graphic design Pagina, Electa.

He looked after the design of book series for the most important Italian publishers. He projected many fittings in the most important museum’s locations, designed objects and fittings for the most important furniture companies.

His work has been awarded with important international rewards and he won many architecture’s competitions.

In the 1998 Pierluigi Cerri and Alessandro Colombo founded Studio Cerri & Associati working in the architecture, industrial, exhibit and interior design and ship design branch.”
