Riva 1920 is pleased to welcome you to the OPEN DOORS initiative, during which you have the chance to get to know a simple yet fascinating business reality.
In order to have a close look at our products, our centres in Cantù (Como) open the doors to the public so to allow visitors to follow the entire production process, from the cut of the trunk to the finished product. This initiative originated from the idea of conveying the highest levels of transparency used throughout the creation of Riva 1920’s products and from the willingness of creating an opportunity for company and designers to meet and discuss this very precious natural resource, wood.
In the past 20 years, the company was committed to producing furniture with only and exclusively wood coming from certified areas and with natural materials and complements, guaranteeing low environmental impact. And there is more. Riva 1920 keeps alive traditional working techniques of solid wood while being constantly on the search for innovation and modernity, thanks to the precious collaboration of over 40 internationally renowned architects and designers.
Ouring OPEN DOORS you have the chance to visit our two production units, and the Riva Centre, an area of over 3000 sq mt, almost entirely covered with 4000 larch-wood slats, where the Showroom and the Museum of Wood are hosted.
Visitors also have the opportunity to meet Maurizio Riva, ask questions and exchangs ideas regarding wood and design.
This is a great chance and a special event to experience Riva 1920’s world where creativity and manual ability meet, as well as tradition and innovation, knowledge and exploration.
